Hahahaha! Arifa's Hair Suggestion
In case no one saw Adi's comment, check out how she thinks I should do my hair:

I think I might have to go with this one!
Tomorrow is my zoo trip with the nephews and then I am going to LA on Wednesday. Whoopee!

Free movies
As mentioned in the last entry, I got to see a sneak preview of Sinbad last night. I would like to use this message as a way to call out rah, and ask her to share the love when they get movie passes at her work. It really pisses me off that her one male co worker only shares passes with us when this one particular hot girl is working in my store. Grrrr.
Today was pretty slow at work, but the last hour we were open we were pretty busy. I sent M. home right at 9, and I am just going to go in early and fix everything.

Hair
I have decided that I want you, the people, to pick out a hairstyle for me. Of course, this doesn't mean I will actually follow through with it, but it will be fun!
I only worked 4 hours yesterday. Yay me! We were so slow that my manager sent me home. So I took my nephew and his little friend Samantha to a sneak preview of Sinbad. It was cute, but I definitely wouldn't have paid to see it. Yay for free stuff!
The funniest thing of the night, though, was Kitt Thunder. Radio Disney was there (as they gave away a lot of the tickets) and Kitt Thunder is the local DJ. Although you can't really call him a DJ, cause if you listen to Radio Disney, it's a national thing. So he really is just here to make personal appearances. Anyway, the funny thing is, Kitt Thunder is really this guy named Jonah Keel. He went to my high school and he used to be one of the Fox Kids Club hosts when he was younger. I just find it amusing.
And on a side note, Jonah's brother Eli looks just like Ashton Kutcher.
I guess I should get ready for work. Since I am the only one working a closing shift that actually knows how to close, I won't get to leave early today. Darn! Oh! Tonight is Radio Disney Family Fun Night in the mall.... maybe I should go see Kitt. *snort*

Zoo trip!
My best friend asked me to go to the zoo with her mom and her two nephews next week. At first I didn't think I would be able to make it, but my new manager gave me the day before I leave for L.A. off work, so I can go! So I am going to take my two nephews too. It should be interesting! We have gorillas now, and I haven't seen them yet.
Tama (aka Kitty) doesn't have diabetes, hence his hypoglycemic attack last night. He has been on diabetic medication for a couple days, and that made his insulin levels so high that it lowered his blood sugar and he got disoriented. He's on cortisone and an antibiotic for the time being, and they are going to check his white blood cell count on Monday (it has been through the roof). It's very frustrating, because even though they keep ruling things out, it doesn't get us any closer to what IS wrong with him. I am sure adi understands this feeling completely!
In other news, my lovely mall co-worker, rah, thinks I should get my hair cut before I make my trek to L.A. Anyone agree?

My feet are cold
Not that anyone cares, but my feet are cold.
Work today was very boring. There was not a lot to do. My district manager came in for a short visit.
Kitty had a hypoglycemic attack tonight. So far it looks like he will be okay. The biopsy showed no signs of cancer, which is good.
I tried to help my sister figure out how to scan in pictures and print them out, but her printer is very tempermental.

Today begins my eight day stint working
Because I had Sunday and Monday off, I have to work Tuesday - Saturday this week. And because I am taking off July 2, I have to work Sunday-Tuesday next week. Ahhhh. I love working 8 days in a row.
I am SO looking forward to this vacation. I am going to see Greg (and hopefully Arifa!) AND go to an anime convention. And I am working on getting in touch with my friend Kirker, who now works at the WB, in the hopes that he can hook me up with some Charmed spoilers. And then when I come back, I am still taking time off work to do absolutely nothing! It will be sooooooo nice.
Still no news on the kitty biopsy...

Chicago... the band, not the city, not the musical
I went to see Chicago in concert tonight. I love them, but they are so old, and really showing it. I realize it's hard to look cool when you're playing the trombone, but really, they looked pretty sad.
I did enjoy the music for the most part. But they did this weird, almost Unplugged type stuff. Just a singer at a keyboard. I was like "I paid to see some horn playing dammit!"

My wrists hurt
I have been reading the new Harry Potter book in bed. And I like to read laying on my side. And the book is so heavy it makes my wrists hurt. So I am taking a break right now. I am about 300 pages into the book. Only 500 plus more to go!
Work today was very slow. My new manager, Mary, said I could leave at 7 if it stayed slow. Well, Valarie came in late and said she was late because she was having back spasms. Yeah, she told Mary she was going to be late because she was watching her sister play softball. And so Valarie wanted to leave sooooooo bad. It was really starting to piss me off that she was making such a big deal out of it. I worked yesterday morning for her, I only got one day off this week so she could work her new job that she is leaving Payless for, and this is the thanks I get!
See, this is why I haven't had a blog before. I am much too afraid that I will write about someone I know and then they will see it and hate me.
Kitty news: Still no results on the biopsy, but the urine analysis showed glucose in the urine, so it might be diabetes. I SO hope this is what is wrong with him.

Look at me... I'm Sandra Dee
Here is my first blog entry. Hooray.
Last night my nephew and I went to a Harry Potter party at Barnes and Noble. It was very boring. We played cards most of the time. We also left to get something to eat and then came back. There were lots of people there. Including a local man that my friends call Sherlock Holmes. I will have to find a picture to share his Sherlock-yness with everyone.
I have no news on the kitty. We were supposed to get results of the biopsy yesterday, but did not. Kirk called the vet three or four times but they said they didn't have the results yet. I am still hoping it is something treatable.
Trading Spaces is in town this week. I must go find them.
But for now, I must get ready for work. Yay for retail.
