I deal with the goddamn customers so the engineers don't have to! I have people skills! I am good at dealing with people! Can't you understand that? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!
Ahhhh, yes, its going to be a long, boring day at the desk. I'm armed with coffee, music and a policy and procedure manual that rivals the entire collection of the encyclopedia britannica in length. Yes. It's going to be a long day.
But at least I slept last night. Sleep is good, especially after many nights of not sleeping. I don't know what did it but I think the Reiki that kam smooshed me with might have had a big part in it. I woke up so darn refreshed this morning I popped right out of bed and onto the stationary bike. Yee-haw.
I've also written two whole sentences of my book in progress. Two whole sentences is a lot considering I barely have time to read right now. I read while I eat. That's one of the few times I can get book time in. The other time is commuting to work, when I commute with my mother. And then I have to deal with carsickness.
Reading is a feast for me. I splurge on it as often as possible. Books. Mmmm....they should bottle old book smell.

ha! "office space" right? the quote? i love that quote, because it applies to my job.
i would like them to bottle the new book smell. old books are a bit musty for me. i want the smell of crisp, new paper. maybe just a hint of ink. a vague undertone of cardboard box, from the shipping process. it has to be a cold scent, as if it had recently been storied in a warehouse. i don't know HOW you are going to capture the scent that comes with the excitement of opening it for the first time, and getting ready to dive into someone else's world. that's probably a fairly citrusy smell. i would imagine.
two sentences rocks! the point is just to start. if you want to write, the two things you have to do is a: write and b: read. thaaaaat's pretty much it. yeah.

Yup, its Office Space. I watched it last night, again. It's a movie that makes me happy.
Books, smell like summer to me. Fruity, fresh, like a morning you just know is going to be good because its quiet with a bright blue sky and chirping birds. In fact I bought two new books of essays today. I can't stick to my "no buying more books until I've read the ones I already have" promise. It is just not possible. It's worse then trying to stick to a New Year's Resolution.

never limit yourself, bookwise.

Right on - the Reiki for sure contributed to your good sleep. That's awesome. :)))
