On a more serious note

Here's another video I made. There was a video montage that was made by a friend of our family, and played at the funeral, but I really wanted to make my own, including some different pictures, and with my choice of music.

If you need a little pick me up, after watching that, scroll down and watch the kids having a blast at Sea World, again. It cracks me up every time I watch it. =)

Thanks for the tips, Susan. I haven't played Makin' Magic in ages, since the Sims2 came out, but I may have to dust it off and give these tips a whirl as I never did figure the duels out before moving to Sims2.

Actually, I found this very uplifting. I know his life was too short and there was some sadness along the way, but so much happiness too! Looks like Larry had a lot of blessings to count as well.

Thank you for sharing this with us Romy.

BTW you turned out Ok given how geeky you looked as a child...hehehehe. Loved the picture of the old car (what was it, was it one of those Citroen's that looks like a wood bug?), Stonehenge and the one with your dad and the babies, especially the one with your daughter all snuggled in (it is your daughter right?)

Yes, there were a few fairly "geeky" years, in my teens (even a short time where I looked like a hideous monster - hehehehe), but I prevailed! The picture of my dad, and I, dressed alike in the blue/white stripe shirts, and navy issue jeans is a funny one, because I absolutely did NOT want to pose for that picture, at all. I did so, very begrudgingly, and now, that simple polaroid is priceless to me.

Yes, that is an old Citroen that is pictured. They were one of my dad's favorite cars, and we had a few of them, over the years - all the same style. My brother Steve, even had one, when he was still alive. There is still one, dead, and quite rusted out, etc, sitting in my parents' backyard. My dad had always intended on restoring it, but never got around to it.

The Stonehenge pic is definitely one of my favorites. That whole day is one of my favorite memories of time my dad, and I, spent together. The trip to the Ye Olde Six Bells, is another, and is actually the subject of the England entry I discussed writing, before. I'll get to that soon.

Oh, and yes, that is my daughter, snuggled in under my dad's beard. She loved to do that, and always did, whenever he would hold her, as an infant.

Beautiful.

And I liked the crunchy boat prow head hair!

Crunchy boat prow head hair? Uh? Translation? I'm a little slow sometimes. =)

Ah, sorry. You had a very nice classic look to your hair for quite a while after we started hanging out. I think you said that it took about an hour to create it and set it each morning. It was dubbed the crunchy boat prow hair, or something like that. Definitely crunchy. But it had a classic style to it that seemed like it was from the 40's.

But that's not the point here (pun intended... heh). That was an excellent montage showing a deep love for your father: a beautiful tribute to him.

AH! Ok, I gotcha now, although I didn't include any pictures of said hairstyle in the montage. I'll now have to dig one, or a few of them up, and post them, so others will know what you're talking about.

That was my favorite hairstyle, too, but it did take a lot of work! Right now I'm digging the loooooong hippy hair that takes very little work! =)
