Dubya sings!

Regardless of your feelings on Bush, you have got to watch this video, it is amazing. Someone put a LOT of time, and effort into this, and they succeeded, beautifully. Just take a watch, and go grab the lyrics, and read along, if you'd like. He nails it!

On a more serious note

Here's another video I made. There was a video montage that was made by a friend of our family, and played at the funeral, but I really wanted to make my own, including some different pictures, and with my choice of music.

If you need a little pick me up, after watching that, scroll down and watch the kids having a blast at Sea World, again. It cracks me up every time I watch it. =)

Battle Of New Orleans - Perry Strikes Back

Found this in my inbox today...

What are you implying, Perry?

And now for something completely different

Ok, Brant, you asked for it, so here you go....not sure what your reaction is going to be, given your current living situation, and place of employment, but, if it's twisted English humour you want, then it's twisted English humour you're going to get.....

(I am not responsible for the content of either of these videos. I don't work for an advertising agency, I don't work for Ford, and I am not British. I do, errrr, drive a Ford, however, but I promise you that it's a good ol' American model, the Taurus. Not an evil piston in her frame)

British television advert - Ford SportKa #1 (the one that Perry sent me via e-mail - blame him! =) )

British television advert - Ford SportKa #2

It is my understanding that at least the cat version never aired, or was pulled almost immediately after it's debut. You can read more about all the hub-bub surrounding these ads out at snopes.

Please, don't shoot the messenger! =)

Torn

Maybe you've seen this, if not, check it out - it's great!

The guy is David Armand, a British actor/comedian who is part of the The Hollow Men (which doesn't seem to be currently airing on Comedy Central...I don't know anything about that, maybe it's just a hiatus...?).

Dee Dee Dee

I have a confession to make - I love Carlos Mencia! For those of you who have either lived, or spent a considerable amount of time, in Southern California, you can probably understand why. Check this clip out, to see what I mean - and for those of you who haven't been here, yes, the sign is real, you'll find them posted within 10 miles of any border, or border check point.....

(I actually have a t-shirt with the sign on it, I don't wear it often, especially not on Thursdays - landscaping day)

Now, for anyone who is familiar with Carlos Mencia, you'll know that he regularly calls people "retarded", which evolved into his now tagline of Dee Dee Dee. My four year old son is Mentally Retarded, so now comes the tricky part. I do not like it when people use "retard" or "retarded" in a negative way....sort of. That's the easy way to explain it, when truly, what I hate is when CLOSED MINDED people use those words in a negative way.

Carlos Mencia is not closed minded, in fact, his philosophy on comedy mirrors that of Trey Parker and Matt Stone of South Park fame, which essentially boils down to, If you say that you can't make fun of one thing, then you can't make fun of anything. Nothing, and nobody, is off limits, including themselves, especially themselves. Carlos Mencia does not have a problem with Mentally Retarded people, he does have a problem with people who do things so stupid, that not even a retarded person would do it - and for that, they are rightfully called out as being "Dee Dee Dee". Does that make sense?

This is something that I've been thinking about, and thinking about writing an entry on, for awhile now, but it was only today that I came across the following clip, one that I had never seen before. I think it sums up my feelings pretty well, and, it comes from Carlos himself....

He has his own show on Comedy Central, Mind Of Mencia. If you haven't seen it, and get the chance - check it out. He's hysterical!
