Into every gloomy life a little sun must shine

Blessings.

Here are some pictures of our front walk, from a week, or so, ago...

the "jungle":

My favorite part, which you can't see in the above pic (they're way back in the back, by the fence/front door), my Calla Lillies!

Berries! Last spring my dad gave us a very, very, small blueberry bush. It has always been special to me, and we've gone out of our way to take extra special care of it, but it's just that much more special, now, and even though it's still small, it's actually blooming, and look - berries!

Also taken a week, or so, ago, is this batch of pictures - my big boy heading off to school on the bus! The preschool has encouraged us to have Alex use the bus, since he started two years ago, but I did not think that he was ready enough for it, developmentally, until recently. He has had some absolutely amazing developmental growth in the last year, especially the last 4 months. He's walking, all the time, now (even though he still walks a bit like a drunken sailor), and as of about 6 weeks ago he's TALKING! YAY! He's getting so big, and he's just a joy!
