Re-Re-Re-Re-Re-Reticulating Splines
Merry Christmas, everyone, a little bit late! We had a nice one. Not overly hectic, and my brother, Brian, was here to spend it with us, which was great. It's been 7 years since he's spent Christmas with us.
So, anyway, for those of you, in the "know", who might have understood my title, I'm now, finally the proud owner of the "Nightlife" expansion pack, for The Sims 2. That has resurrected my Sims from a rather long sabbatical in the CD shelf. They were getting lonely in there. =) Christmas is a wonderful thing!
Anyway, Nightlife is pretty fun, though I still haven't got to spend much time playing around with all the new toys and interactions. I've had a bit of a problem with the game, and I've not seen it mentioned anywhere online, but I've got it figured out to where I can play without much problem, I just have to make sure and do all of my building/buying/rearranging/etc, right when the game first loads. If not, then later in gameplay, it won't let me do that kind of stuff, for some reason, until I reboot. It doesn't affect gameplay, though, so long as my Sims have everything they need, early on. I've only been playing one Sim, so far, and she's in a pretty small house, so it's not been a problem, yet.
(Ok Jodi, you might want to cover your eyes now)....
THEY HAVE CARS NOW!
Whoo hoo! (that's my excitement, not to be confused with Sims "Woo-hoo")
The game just keeps getting better, and better! They keep coming up with such cool things, and interesting interactions, it's awesome! It's almost hard to believe how satisfied I was with the original Sims.........almost. They were pretty damn fun, but Sims 2? AWESOME!
I see the next expansion pack is going to be, "Open For Business". Per the little ad thing, in my "Nightlife" box:
The Sims 2 Open For Business Expansion Pack is coming your way early 2006. Create shops, boutiques, entertainment hot spots, home businesses, and more. Hire friendly workers and fire slackers as you strive to keep up with demand. Get ready to take your Sims from rags to riches.
Hrmmm....sounds interesting. We can make shops and such, already, but not hire and fire employees, and I'm VERY interested in this whole home business thing. I wonder if they'll have an e-bay type of business that you can have your Sims run, now that would ROCK!
