A Tsunami wha.......?
We're watching this really bad movie, on Sci-fi, right now, and the Emergency Broadcast System broke in, announcing a Tsunami warning for San Diego county, currently in effect until 10:30 PM. Apparently there was a 7.5 magnatude earthquake, off of the coast of Northern California.
That was the most bizarre warning I have ever seen.

Defenestration
n. throwing of a person or thing out of window.
I stumbled across a really cool site, with a few different dictionaries, on it.
My favorite of which is the dictionary of difficult words, and of course, I just had to look up defenestration, as it is one of my favorite difficult words.
Just thought I'd share, and maybe this will come in handy, for 50 word fiction friday, over on Jodi's blog, this week.

Heartbroken
Sarah, my miniature dachshund, is gone.
She started getting sick, on saturday, but seemed ok, for the most part, so we nursed her, here at home, keeping a close eye on her. Yesterday morning she actually seemed better, for a very short time, and then she got worse. Much worse.
After a maddening battle with my vet's office (the same one that I used to work for), I finally had to take her in, to an emergency vet, but by then it was too late. They believe that she ate something that punctured her intestine, and she was in severe septic shock. The only thing to do, at that point, was euthanasia.
She was just shy of her 5th birthday, and had been such a healthy dog, all of her life, this was so startling, and FAST. I just cannot believe that she's gone. I miss her so much.

Oh Luther, darling, heaven knows, I've never put on women's clothes, except for once my mother's camisole
Well, well, well, I dug out, and dusted off my Hedwig CD (off broadway version, not the movie version), and DAMN this thing ROCKS! I had almost forgotten what good taste in music, I have! =)
I've just been busy with life, life, and more life. Doing some housework, and listing new auctions on eBay - I needed a soundtrack, and I am happy with my choice. I can't even remember how long it's been since I've listened to this. I'm a bad fan.
I'll try to write more, in the next couple of days. It really has been busy 'round here.

Sorry for being so quiet. Miranda, and Lauren, are here now, for their summer visit, and we've had all the kids, this week, so.....i've been just a bit busy.
